This evening has been 10 years in the making.

In 2016 I started work on this film because I could feel what was coming: AI that manipulates how we think, deepfakes that blur the line between real and fake, and a world where we can no longer agree on basic facts. I wanted to make a movie that was thrilling, funny, and unsettling enough to cut through the noise.

The journey to make that film involved (truly) thousands of you. From shooting 40 locations in 21 days to nearly half of the film becoming a VFX shot...from promoting the project at Sundance by pretending to be the Russian disinformation chief, to creating a web of fictional characters on social media, to staging and filming a fake viral movement, at each turn a few of you poured your ideas and creativity into a corner of this film. It would take 10 watches of the movie to begin to see all of those little details.

This is it. This is the version I had in my head. If you've seen a previous cut, you have not seen this movie. Now that the finishing touches of the past few months are on, the pieces of the film come together in a way that feels different than any of them did on their own.
